A New Approach to Type 2 Diabetes

Nearly 24 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with diabetes, and most of them suffer from Type 2 diabetes. Dr. Brandon Babcock, a doctor of chiropractic at the Integrated Health Center of Utah (located at 9265 S. Redwood Road, Ste. A in West Jordan), has taken a new approach to treating Type 2 diabetes and says he is seeing incredible results within his patients.

“Every person who has Type 2 diabetes is different. Each one has unique symptoms and a different area within the body that is out of balance. Through extensive testing and blood work, I actually pinpoint which organs in a diabetic’s body are breaking down and causing the majority of his or her symptoms. I test several organs including the pancreas, liver, thyroid and adrenal glands. Once results are determined, I design a customized nutritional and supplemental plan that can actually eliminate the need for diabetes medication,” Babcock says.

He adds, “Many patients with Type 2 diabetes are simply given medication that targets the symptoms of their disease, instead of receiving treatment that focuses on the cause of their illness. We address the source of the diabetes within the body, with the goal of turning a diabetic into a non-diabetic, rather than just making the disease easier to live with.”

Most of Babcock’s treatment plans take anywhere from three to six months. Under Babcock’s programs, patients are required to follow a specific dietary plan, take the proper dosage of his recommended supplements and regularly visit his office for evaluations. Babcock says that by following these guidelines with dedication and consistency, his patients have experienced weight loss, lowered blood pressure and cholesterol and elevated moods.

Peggy OkIeberry of West Valley City said that shortly after she was diagnosed with diabetes, she went to classes and seminars on how to control diabetes to no avail. During this time, she was also given prescription medications, which also didn’t help. Then, she learned about the Integrated Health Center of Utah.

“I started Dr. Babcock’s program and followed it exactly, and after three months, I have no medication for my diabetes. It is under control completely. I have more energy, I am not tired and life is wonderful,” Okleberry says.

According to Babcock, the ideal candidate for this revolutionary diabetes treatment is anyone who is ready to make a change. “If you aren’t seeing results from your traditional Type 2 diabetes treatment and are ready to try something new, this program could be exactly what you need to get on the path to a healthier life that doesn’t include diabetes medication,” Babcock says.
