Tom and Mary Smart joined LIVING WELL Magazine as publishers of Linn County LIVING WELL Magazine. Their inaugural summer 2011 issue will debut this July. The Smarts are long-time Linn County residents and after spending 21 years in the telecommunications field, the couple is looking forward to helping thriving adults navigate life after 50.
Starting Linn County LIVING WELL Magazine is important to the Smarts. “Being active adults ourselves, we’re always looking for information on health, leisure, travel, food and local community resources”, says Mary. In addition, Tom and Mary recently found themselves faced with the challenges of aging family members. “I wasn’t aware of the resources available to help with the decisions that had to be made,” explains Tom. “It also made us realize how important the right information & planning for the future is.” By publishing Linn County LIVING WELL Magazine, Tom & Mary say they “look forward to bringing a quality health & lifestyle magazine to their community.”
