Independent Plus––A New Spin on Independent Retirement Living

Three years ago, we introduced the residents of Cheyenne Place Retirement Community to a new program that we developed exclusively for them. We call it Independent Plus. As the name implies, the program offers more than independent living. We designed a program that supports our residents with caregivers from Beo Personal Care who come into the resident’s apartment for catered support of their activities of daily living like bathing assistance, hair care, dressing assistance, medication management, etc. The Cheyenne Place staff supports all the other areas of nutritional and household needs, transportation and activities.
Residents don’t have to move to a separate wing or building of the campus to receive extra help. It is truly customized using Beo’s concierge menu of services. One resident may want breakfast in bed while another wants medication support and shower assistance. Cheyenne Place and Beo share the goal of helping you maintain your independence and comfort.
Our residents want their move to Cheyenne Place to be their last. As our seniors age in place, they can get the catered support they need from Beo Personal Care. Beo is a local, family-owned business committed to providing independence and comfort to seniors. Independent Plus offers maximum flexibility. For instance, a senior who has an elective knee replacement surgery can begin physical therapy at one of our two sister SunBridge communities: Cheyenne Mountain or Pikes Peak Care and Rehabilitation Centers for 25 days of rehabilitation. Upon discharge, they can either move back to or begin living at Cheyenne Place with Beo’s support and follow-up therapy from our rehabilitation centers. A heavy service plan will begin to taper down as the senior progresses with therapy. They can eventually be on their own again.
Independent Plus has been the ideal plan for those who don’t require assisted living but do need extra support to perform certain tasks. They can still enjoy all their favorite activities with their special friends and remain independent. Many Cheyenne Place residents love Independent Plus.
