Three Local Medical Practices Partner to Provide a Day of Education for Physicians & Medical Professionals – LIVING WELL Magazine
Colorado Heart & Vascular, Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology Associates, and The Urology Center of Colorado have partnered together to host the Second Annual State-of-the-Art Symposium: Advancing Women’s Cardiac, GI, and Urologic Health on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Police Protective Event Center, centrally located just north of Invesco Field at 2015 Decatur Street, Denver, CO 80211.
The Second Annual State-of-the-Art Symposium is a FREE interactive, full-day educational event specifically designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses. Featuring topics from all three specialty practices, this event is the first of its kind in Denver! Physicians from all three practices will present the latest advancements in care with a special focus on women’s health. Topics such as managing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and preventing and diagnosing colorectal cancer, managing liver disease and urinary incontinence, current challenges in women’s cardiovascular health, and a comprehensive overview of female urology for primary care physicians will be covered. The keynote address will be delivered by Mark Moyad, MD, MPH, director of complementary medicine at the University of Michigan. The event will commence with a presentation from Michael Leonard, MD, of COPIC. A special presentation on the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of menorrhagia will be given by Mandi Beman, MD, from Aracea Women’s Care.
Registration and continental breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m., educational presentations will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Attendees will receive 8 CME and CNE credits and 1 COPIC ERS point at this event.
