Day trips, luncheons, potlucks, seminars, educational talks, and group travel are just a few of the amazing opportunities Hills Bank Friends Club offers its members. The cost to join? Typically free! The catch? You must be a member of the Hills Bank Friends Club, and joining has never been easier. To be eligible for the club, you must be 50 years of age or better and maintain qualifying balances. Members enjoy an interest-bearing checking account and free personalized checks. Membership has continued to increase each year, and we currently mail our quarterly newsletter magazine to almost 9,000 households.

In October 2012, Friends Club celebrated its 25th anniversary. The very first Friends Club tour 25 years ago was an overnight stay in Dubuque, Iowa, including a Mississippi River Cruise. In 2013, Friends Club members can choose to tour the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Paris and London, Boston Pops at Tanglewood, and a Christmas Market Tour on the Rhine River. Each year members can experience multiple extended tours, day excursions, and numerous events including birthday parties and bingo, educational seminars, and luncheons.

The success of Friends Club comes from our members who enjoy the benefits of the club and then refer their friends, neighbors, and relatives. Coordinated travel, educational seminars, parties and group tickets to events, and a thriving Merchant Discount Program allows members to support local businesses, save money, and enjoy many hidden treasures in our communities.

To join Friends Club, stop by any Hills Bank location and ask to speak with a personal banker or Friends Club representative. They are happy to go over qualifications, answer your questions, and sign you up! You may also visit Hills Bank at HillsBankFriendsClub.com to learn more.
