Massage nourishes both the body and soul

Where do you go to find the stillness of the universe? When do we allow ourselves time to relax and unwind? Recapturing the silence within is essential in regaining the mind/body connection. Massage is one of the few things in this world that truly nourishes both body and soul and requires nothing but a willingness to give and receive.
A life out of balance will catch up with us eventually, and everyone is out of balance. We do generate illness and wellness in our lives. Medical science now knows that the immune system and the nervous system are inexplicably linked. When you experience anger, sadness or fear all your cells feel these emotions, neuropeptides guarantee it. So when you experience stress, your entire system is affected. Massage strips away the stressors of the outer world and puts you in touch with who you really are and helps direct you back in the direction of balance.
A regularly scheduled massage allows you to reset your system, to train your mind and body to return to that sense of balance with greater ease. Massage is not just a luxury but essential in maintaining health of the mind, body and soul. There are many modalities of massage, bodywork and energywork to choose from to help you regain your sense of peace and calm.
Allow your true self to emerge, step into the world as the beautiful creation you were meant to be. Find yourself, get a massage today.

100% agree with the amazing benefits of massage…body, mind and spirit. As a wellness coach and speaker, I encourage others to slow down and listen to their body. You don’t have to be sick to pursue wellness. Thanks for another great article LIVING WELL! TCOY = Take Care of You!
Hi Lucy,
Thanks for writing in. Massage is definitely beneficial.

Funny. I’m a massage therapist, and I was just stating yesterday to someone how powerful touch is, even to just hold someone’s hand for a few moments. Our society has become so touch deprived. And yet it’s so essential. We come into this world w/the gift of feeling on many levels; and to not utilize these gifts is sad. Seniors, those who live alone, and those simply fearful of letting anyone into their personal space are often the most deprived. Think of how powerful a mother’s hug or touch is to a child who feels sad or sick. For those who are afraid to allow others into their close space, I suggest talking to others (or simply ask your angels or the universe) to help find you a touch therapist (massage, reiki, etc…) that YOU feel comfortable and safe with. Feeling safe and comfortable w/your therapist is essential to allow yourself to let go, so any healing you are open to can take place. Even if that ‘healing’ is simply allowing another person to hold your hand in comfort and love.
Dorothy,
We loved your note. Even holding a hand is beneficial and can help lift someone’s day and make them feel better.
Thanks for writing in.
