The Pontchartrain is a unique, independent living facility dedicated to seniors 50 years and over. The property was built in 1927 and has been fully restored. It contains 82 apartment units of one and two bedrooms. The amenities include: housekeeping services twice a week, all utilities, valet parking, three meals per day prepared by Executive Chef David DeFelice, and phone and Direct TV. All units are equipped with Internet access at no extra charge.
The property has over 20,000-sq.-ft. of common area for the residents and guest to enjoy. Residents can take advantage of the Founder’s Room for private dining with family and guests. The Garden Terrace gives the feel of a French Quarter courtyard for the residents to enjoy. Security cameras are located on all exterior doors and the concierge’s desk is manned 24 hours to meet our residents’ needs. All units have fire and smoke detection systems which are monitored 24 hours a day. There are no expensive building fees and all amenities are included in the monthly rent with a one-month security deposit required at the lease signing.
