Why Our Seniors Love Living at The Trace
By Judy Palmisano, Northshore LIVING WELL Magazine
The Trace Senior Community in Covington, nestled along St. Tammany’s Trace walking path, offers a tranquil family community that is home to over 80 senior citizens. The Trace, an independent, assisted and memory care community is only two years old and has been at full capacity for some time.
This unparalleled success is attributable to several factors. Our most important achievement is happy seniors. The residents recently had the opportunity to share “Why they love living at The Trace” and this is what they said:
Why do I love living at The Trace?
“If there’s someone in need, there’s always someone who’ll heed.” – Pauline Ahrens
“Everything’s Beautiful!” – Nick Perniciaro
Residency at The Trace includes three delicious meals seven days a week, offering entrée selections, laundry and housekeeping services. In addition, the 24-hour onsite staff puts their residents at ease that someone will immediately respond should they need assistance. Similar to vacationing on a cruise ship, our senior family enjoys social, educational, fitness, devotional and recreational activities. All of these benefits are available for all of our residents. Assisted living residents enjoy these, plus help with bathing and dressing, help getting to and from meals and activities, medicine reminders and additional laundry and housekeeping.
The Trace is unique in that they have no buy-in fee, nor do they require a long-term contract and offer rates guaranteed for one year. The location, north of I-12 and conveniently located near hospitals and downtown Covington shopping, is very desirable to seniors and their families. We have a waiting list for our future family members.
Why do I love living at The Trace?
“I came here after visiting five Assisted Living facilities…….
First was the appearance, next the congenial staff, the happy atmosphere of other residents who welcomed me…Nowhere will you find a place that cleans your rooms, does your laundry, feeds you three times per day, affords transportation for shopping, doctors and outings, plans entertainment and cares about each guests’ happiness.
I’ve encouraged five friends to give it a try and have a couple more still completing the move.
