The Trace of Arcadia, an independent, assisted and memory care retirement community, is one of the newest senior communities in the St. Tammany area, and offers 77 apartments. Having reached one and a half years in operation, they find themselves at full occupancy. This type of success is attributable to several factors. First, the location, north of I-12 and conveniently located near hospitals and downtown Covington shopping, is very desirable. As the name implies, the community fronts the St. Tammany Parish Trace walking and biking trail, another feature enjoyed by the residents. The community is located at 19432 Crawford Road.

The attributes of new construction such as high ceilings, pocket lighting, columns, as well as common area furnishings chosen by interior designers, afford the feel of a luxury hotel. The spacious apartments are available in two floor plans offering 362 square feet and 710 square feet, and feature granite countertops, pecan cabinets, walk-in showers, a refrigerator and microwave.

Residency at The Trace includes three delicious daily meals offering entrée selections, laundry and housekeeping services. In addition, the 24-hour onsite staff puts their residents at ease that someone will immediately respond should they need assistance. Additional services are available through assisted living at The Trace, and the memory care community cares for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and features its own private dining room, laundry room and two activities areas.

The Trace is unique in that they have no buy-in fee, nor do they require a contract. Residents enjoy the community on a month-to-month basis, and the monthly rent is guaranteed for one year from the move-in date. “The Trace has quickly become one of the most sought after independent and assisted senior communities in our area,” says Marketing Representative Debi Sunseri.
