Description
Established in 1934, the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that helps seniors age with dignity and independence at home. VNA is the community’s most trusted provider of quality health care services in the home and is the first nonprofit and most experienced Hospice Care provider in Texas. VNA provides Meals on Wheels in Dallas County, and compassionate Hospice Care in Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant, Van Zandt, Wise Counties and parts of Johnson and Navarro Counties.
The VNA Hospice Care team focuses on helping our patients live life to its fullest with dignity, care, and respect. We develop a comprehensive care plan uniquely designed to meet each individual person’s culture, values, and beliefs. Our care team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help support our patients and their loved ones every step of the way.
VNA’s Children’s Haven is here to support patients with serious illness and their families from prenatal care and support to 21 years of age. Through an interdisciplinary care team, pediatric hospice allows patients and their families to have the support and care needed in the comfort of their own home, while maintaining their physician relationships, home healthcare and any other healthcare care needed to meet the goals of the patient and family.
The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas provides the highest quality care for those with no place to turn and no means to pay. We care for people of all backgrounds, and with donations from the community, we are able to offer vital services funded solely by charitable grants and gifts.
There are several ways you can become part of our mission, learn about aging resources, volunteer and connect with our care team at www.vnatexas.org.
