By Greg KollmeyerGreater Springfield LIVING WELL Magazine
With all the hype in the media today surrounding the election, tax reform and candidates’ tax rates, have you ever stopped to wonder what all of these taxes do and where they come from? Let’s get to the bottom of this mess and SHOW YOU, the good citizens of Missouri, where your money goes. […]

Annual Wellness Visit provides a springboard to good health, fitness
By Mary Norman, Collin County LIVING WELL Magazine
As the regional medical director at Highland Springs, an Erickson Living retirement community in North Dallas, I see firsthand how our residents can experience the best years of their life in retirement. […]
Reese’s Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting
Matt and I, along with our friends Angie and Ryan coach 2 soccer teams. One is for our youngest daughters: Bear and other Bear (they are friends but could pass as twins!). The other team, U16, is for the oldest 2, my Sunshine and their “Sky” (not his real name but neither is Sunshine’s!) Not wanting to play favorite here, but all four adults have to admit that the U16 team is a much more fun team to coach. […]

Roasted Cherries and Brown Butter Frozen Yogurt

That’s what I picture when I envision this frozen yogurt. I don’t know why but it just seems so….just so heavenly. […]

OHHHHH Chicken Coop!
It has been built! Finally, by moi! Not really by choice – because Mr. Man still can’t operate power tools….or so he says!
All kidding aside, I think I did fairly well for my first real “construction” job. I didn’t even get mad at Matt for supervising me and telling me what to do! That needed to be mentioned! I did however get really mad at myself for being 41 years old and not having a clue how to build stuff! […]
Gym Etiquette and Reese’s Peanut Butter Bread
Why together? Well, since this is pretty much me ranting and complaining about poor gym etiquette, I figured I should end with something delicious. This is to make you forget that I have pet peeves that are somewhat compulsive and over the top. Please enjoy the 7 deadly sins (as per Isabelle) of gym etiquette. […]
Eggplant Parmesan: no brainer!
Classic basic version is all I have to offer. But it is so good and a perfect meal for a special guest, a sick friend or when you might just need some comfort food.
Please note: this is NOT a Yummo Rachael Ray 30 minutes meal. Although I do love her 30 minute ideas, this requires patience and a little time. It is worth it….trust me….oh and the leftovers…OH MY! It might be wise to hide a small plate in the back of the fridge while you are serving everyone else….as a back up! […]
