This is where the experience of the surgeon, the degree to which the surgeon is meticulous and gentle during surgery, the surgeon’s personal attention to the patient’s needs, and the support provided by the surgeon’s team, are measured against the surgical fee. If the fee is high, the care and result must be excellent to provide good value. If the fee is high, but the care and result is average, the value is lower. If the fee is low and the care and result are excellent, the value will be very high.
